[video] This Old Earth (part 1 of 3)

I respond to a young earth creationist's arguments. The first two parts are debunking the arguments for a 6,000 year old earth, and the third part will detail how we know the earth is 4.5 billion years old.

It's taken a lot of my spare time to research and write this, and I also had some technical difficulties. The audio is out of sync by a little in some places.

Hi, Albert10101
I really like your videos, especially your "What Science Isn't" video. So I thought I would friend you on livejournal.

I do think it is rediculous what these creationists believe. Back in high school, this kid brough Kent Hovind (a young-earth evangelist)to my school to do a seminar. (I went to public school.) So my atheist friends and I went to it.

It sucked. The arguments were weak and of the "come on, come on, ain't these atheists dumb?" persuasion. There was a questions and answers portion to the seminar, and so I went up and asked "if earth is only 6000 years old, how can we see stars that are 90039840347890837490834 light years away? His answer was something like "because god started the light our farther from the star, and that light speed isn't constant." I almost barfed right there.

I'm glad people like you are spreading the actual good word. Keep up the good work.
